An engagement with us involves the following non-intrusive steps:

1. Proof Of Concept

This is a low cost exercise that allows us to sample the source database systems and produce a report covering a fragment of the databases for appraisal by the client. The process will typicall involve:

  1. Extraction of database structure from source database(s)
  2. Parsing and Cleansing of Metadata
  3. Load into the Buildmasters Metabase for integrity checking and further cleansing
  4. Processing via the Buildmasters Database Documentation Tool
  5. Publishing of Documentation either online or in a portable help file

2. Comprehensive Data Analysis Report

Having refined the output during the Proof-Of-Concept the full report is generated and cleansed by the Buildmasters Team before being delivered to the client for final acceptance. An example of one of our meta-data analysis reports is available here, generated using the sample Northwind database.
